Ibán Ríos
I put AI to work in your company: you get the work done, not another tool.
I step into your company, understand how your team works and build AI agents, automations or software that do real tasks with your data.
Today I do this at Sesame HR as Head of AI GTM Engineering, with more than ten agents and tools in production. In 2021 I co-founded and led Chat Ergo Bot, a conversational AI company, before ChatGPT arrived. Before that I was Global Lead, Automation & Tech at Dentsu in London.

- Co-founder and lead of Chat Ergo Bot, 2021
- Before that, Dentsu, London

Head of AI GTM Engineering, reporting directly to the CRO, COO and CEO.
Before Chat Ergo Bot, in 2020, #YoMeTesteoEnCasa: a COVID-19 self-assessment test for the whole of Spain, built in 24 hours.
Problems you may not know you have
First I get to know your company, from the website to how your remote team coordinates. And then I pick the solution that works, even if it's the simplest one.
Website
Your website gets visits, but it doesn't answer, doesn't filter, and you don't know why it doesn't sell.
I turn it into your first employee, one that answers at any hour, filters and hands each contact to whoever should take it. Anyone can use it, screen reader included, and you see which pages bring you clients.
Your website as your first employeeClients
Leads come in and someone decides by hand who to call first.
An agent reads every lead, scores it and assigns it to the right person, so your team calls the most interested people first.
AI agents that do real work every dayTeam
Working remotely, decisions get lost between chat, meetings and email.
I map how information travels and leave one place where decisions live and anyone can ask. Sometimes that takes an agent, and other times a rule and someone who owns it.
Your company is already a systemData
To get a number you have to ask the one person who knows how to pull it from the CRM.
I connect the data so anyone in leadership can ask in plain language and see where each answer comes from.
A case: reports no longer built by handAI
Your team already pastes customer data into ChatGPT without the company having signed off on it.
I train the team, we pick an approved tool together and write a short usage policy. Besides, the EU AI Act already asks that people using AI at a company have sufficient training.
Shadow AIControl
You've chained tools and automations and it's not clear which data goes where.
With a diagnosis I map your systems and flows: which tools your team uses, what data passes through each one and where AI makes decisions. So I can show you where the risks are and where hours go.
The diagnosis
Ways to work with me
I take on only a few projects at a time, alongside my role at Sesame HR. The core service is AI agents, automations or software that do a task for you, and the diagnosis helps pick that task.
Implementation and maintenance: finished work
Built inside your systems and maintained afterwards
- Who it's for
- Companies with a repetitive task that their team or a supplier does today.
- What you get
- I work as a forward deployed engineer: I go into your tools and, with your real data, build what the task needs, whether an AI agent, an automation or software. Before the first task we write down when it will be considered finished. Then I maintain it with the scope the project needs, and if we agree on it you get a monthly report on results and the cost of each task. It is the same approach I use for Sesame HR's internal systems.
- How it starts
- You tell me the task, who does it today and how you know it is done well.
Diagnosis: which work to hand to AI
Systems, flows, risk and lost hours
- Who it's for
- Companies looking for the task to hand to AI, or already using it and wanting to know where their data and their time go.
- What you get
- A map of your systems and flows: which tools your team uses, what data passes through each one and where AI makes decisions. With it we pick the task to start with and see where there is risk under the AI Act, GDPR and security. Mind you, it finds problems but does not certify compliance.
- How it starts
- You tell me the tools and processes you want reviewed.
AI training for teams
Applied AI, best practices and safe use
- Who it's for
- Teams that already use AI, or are about to, and need to use it well and safely.
- What you get
- Hands-on training so your team uses AI well and learns to build with it. It covers AI applied to their work, how to build their own tools and software, best practices and everyday tips. And also safe use at work: which tool to approve, a usage policy and how to protect data, in line with Article 4 of the AI Act.
- How it starts
- You tell me your team size and the tools you use today.
Cases
What I have built, with its context and only the figures that can be checked. Each case says whether it was a professional implementation or an own project.
Professional implementation
AI GTM Engineering at Sesame HR
AI agents and internal tools: more than ten in production, used by teams in five markets.
Professional implementation
Paid search for Apple and Square, automation at Dentsu
+47 % year-on-year conversions on the Apple and Square search accounts I ran. Then automations and dashboards for the whole Dentsu network.
Own project
#YoMeTesteoEnCasa
An online COVID-19 self-assessment test for the whole of Spain, built in 24 hours. Unofficial and non-profit.
How I work
Understand the process and the result you want.
Pick the task worth handing to AI.
Agree the scope and what counts as done.
Build and integrate it with your data and your tools.
Validate it with you before it runs on its own.
Maintain it and measure it.
Every proposal separates the fees, the costs of AI models and third-party tools, and maintenance.
I use an agent when the task calls for one, but if an automation or a program is enough, I build that. And where the law requires a professional's signature, a person signs.

FAQ
How does a project with Ibán Ríos work?
It starts with a diagnosis, where I map your company's systems and flows and pick the task to start with. Then we put in writing the scope and how the result will be checked. With that I build the solution, an AI agent, an automation or software, inside the tools your team already uses. Before it runs on its own, we validate it with your team. I already work with other companies alongside my role at Sesame HR, though I take on only a few projects at a time. To begin, use the contact form or email iban@ibanrios.com.
What does it cost and what is included?
Each proposal sets the price and separates three things: the fees for building and integrating the system, the costs of AI models and third-party tools, and maintenance. Prices and terms are put in writing, though not as a promise of business outcomes.
How are data and security handled?
GDPR and the AI Act are part of the design from the start: which data is used and where it travels. Access keys do not go in the code, and each agent gets only the permissions it needs: one that reads contacts can only read contacts. What arrives from outside, like an email or a web page, is not treated as an order, because it could carry hidden instructions. Every change passes automatic tests before it goes live, and what each agent does is logged.
Who maintains it afterwards?
After the build, which has an end date, I maintain the system with the scope each project needs. If we agree on it, your company gets a monthly report on results and cost per task. And what no longer serves is retired.
When does AI make sense in my company?
When there is a repetitive task, done today by the team or a supplier, whose result can be checked and with a clear idea of what done looks like. Day to day it shows in leads assigned by hand, numbers only one person can pull, or a team using ChatGPT on its own. Depending on the task, the answer is an agent, an automation or software, and sometimes just a rule and a person in charge. The “Do you need it?” page lists the signs by type of company.
What does my company need to provide?
To start, I need the task, who does it today and how you know it is done well. And during the project, time with the people who do the work and access to the tools and data the task uses, because the solution is built inside them. Before it runs on its own, someone on your side validates it against what was agreed.
